At Windlesham we adopt a dress code during the week to ensure that children are dressed smartly at school. For special occasions, such as the school Carol Service, certain school trips and senior school visits, pupils in years 3-8 will be asked to wear Formal Dress (‘Sunday Best’). At the weekend, Prep school children may wear home clothes, unless instructed otherwise.
Details of the dress code for the Pre-Prep and Prep school are provided below, as are those for Formal Dress and sports. Clothing may be bought from the School Uniform Shop or the second-hand shop. Details of how to do this are given towards the end of the document.
All items must be clearly named using sew on name tapes, not iron or stick on name tapes can be ordered online from JJ Cash – www.jjcash.co.uk or purchased from the school shop.
Items marked with an asterisk (*) must be bought from the school uniform shop or second-hand shop. Other items may be purchased from any shop as long as they conform to the requirements.

We are fortunate to have a school uniform shop on site. The shop is open during term time 3 times a week on Monday and Friday 8:00am-9.00am and Wednesday 10:45am to 1:00pm. All new pupil fittings are by appointment. The shop is not managed by the school but by the clothing company that we purchase our branded items from. For details of opening times or to arrange an appointment, please contact Mrs Tatchell by telephone or email. The shop provides a personalised service and excels at ensuring you have the correct clothes that fit well. They are also able to order name tapes and name all the items that you purchase from them. They can deliver items to you or directly to school.
Tel: 01903 873099. Email windleshamclothing@gmail.com
If possible, please visit the school shop with your child for a personal fitting – an appointment is required. Orders for clothing from the school shop must be received at least 3 weeks prior to the start of term (especially if the name tape sewing service is required).
If you are unable to visit personally, please email your child’s measurements along with a list of any extra items you require from the shop. (Measurements required: Height / chest / waist / neck / inside leg / general size of child – small, medium or large).
Payment: Cheque or credit card. An invoice will be issued when your order is complete.
We also have a second hand shop on site, where most items are available and are in very good condition. The second hand shop is not part of the school shop. The shop is open every Friday from 8.15am to 9.15am or by appointment. Please email Alexandra Evans on aevans@windlesham.comto book an appointment. Please note that payment will be added to your child’s school account.
Pupils from Year 3 to 8 are required to have the following items. Items can be bought from the school stationery shop on their library days: Year 3-6 Monday and Thursday; Year 7 and 8, Tuesday and Friday. The cost of items will be added to the bill.
